Our value relative to others in the Software Engineering business:
Bias for a holistic view. Performance problems can owe their origin to system requirements, the architecture, programming, configuration or a combination. Their solutions cut across organizational boundaries and can be as much a political challenge as a technical one. You don't need us to be involved in the political life of the organization but you do need someone to attribute issues correctly and without bias — and drive toward resolving them.
Bias for action. Performance reports full of graphs and charts showing bottlenecks, utilization and the like are not always actionable. We raise the information to a higher level: what does it mean to you in business terms? More servers? A change to a particular component? An approaching choke point? Our observations are presented in business terms and our recommendations are actionable at the business level.
Bias for modeling. Modeling is an core part of our skill set and it is integrated into our approach. This bias differentiates us from most players in the performance business. Model-based results can be obtained earlier in the development process and for a fraction of the cost of obtaining empirical results.
Modern Technology Expertise. Whether your business solution involves Web Technology, Web Services, SOA, Database Applications, batch programs, vendor tools or an integration of all of the above, we have the skills and the knowledge to make an immediate impact on your Performance metrics.
Focus. We won't have dozens of engagements active at any one time. We'll take the time to understand your systems and provide a deep level of partnership.
